The Mehmas colt ran green in midfield before staying on well down the outside, doing second best of those to come from off the pace. The patiently-ridden Godolphin horse in third place – 5-1 shot Music Of Time – went two places better at Doncaster next time and Cy Twombly is likely to take a step forward this evening. The Crisford yard is six from 19 with runners having their first start after wind surgery, improving to six from 12 if we ignore the colts (+£13.73 to a £1 level stake at SP). ARABIAN ROSE showed promise on her all-weather debut at Wolverhampton last time, finishing an 80-1 fifth of 12 in a 7f fillies’ maiden, and she’ll appreciate the step back up to 1m now making her handicap debut having become outpaced at Dunstall Park.
