Andrew heads to the jumps fixtures at Kempton and Ludlow for his two recommended bets/trades on Monday, November 25th.

 

KEMPTON 1.30

GIDLEIGH PARK, a six-length winner of a soft-ground Chepstow bumper on his racecourse debut, made it two from two when bolting up in a fast time in novice hurdle company at Exeter on his 2023/24 reappearance. His improvement didn’t stop there – he added a Newbury novice hurdle win under a penalty before scoring narrowly from Lucky Place in Grade 2 company at Cheltenham on Trials Day. He lost his 100% record when only sixth in the Albert Bartlett but three miles on heavy ground but too much emphasis on stamina and today’s 2m2f trip looks perfect for his chasing debut. The Warren Greatrex-trained six-year-old will appreciate the recent rain and can get the better of main market rival IBERICO LORD. Buy at 35 in the Sporting Index 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price (11-10 at the time of writing).

LUDLOW 2.50

MR GREY SKY signed off last term with a modest third of four at Newcastle, but Kim Bailey’s veteran has a good record when fresh and will be happier back on a right-handed track (three of his four wins over obstacles have come in this direction). The rain that fell over the weekend has improved his chances and he scored by five lengths on his only previous visit to the Shropshire venue. Buy at 28 in the Sporting Index 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price (6-4).

Recommendation: Back MR GREY SKY in Ludlow 2.50
