Andrew Mount's Racing Tips
Andrew Mount's Racing Tips 20.03.2024

Andrew heads to Market Rasen and Southwell (all-weather) for his two recommended bets/trades on Wednesday, March 20th.
MARKET RASEN 2.30
EXCELLERO caught the eye at Warwick on his debut last November, finding only Salver – subsequently third in the Triumph Hurdle – too good. The Jane Williams-trained gelding followed that with a fine 25-1 fourth to Sir Gino in Grade 2 company at Cheltenham on Trials Day and he’s going to be hard to beat here before moving on to better things. We didn’t get to see what Sir Gino could do at Cheltenham last week but the third from that Trials Day contest, Milan Tino, finished a solid sixth in the Fred Winter, doing best of those trained outside of Ireland. Excellero’s speed figures tower over those of his rivals and he rates a buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market today.
Recommendation: Back EXCELERO in Market Rasen 2.30
SOUTHWELL 6.00
MEHMO usually misses a beat at the starts but has finished in the first three places in six of his last seven starts and only went down by a neck in second place on his last visit to Southwell. Mick Appleby’s six-year-old was only fifth at Newcastle last time but clocked a good speed figure for that effort and he should get a good pace to chase courtesy of JEANS MAITE. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back MEHMO in Southwell 6.00
Please note that the picks recommended in this blog post are based on past performance and should not be considered a guarantee for future winning outcomes, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
