Andrew bids to start the new week on a high with two recommended bets/trades at Leicester on Monday, November 18th…
LEICESTER 12.40
DEXPERADO improved for the switch to handicap hurdle company and cheekpieces last spring, going down by just half a length to Double Powerful (45 lengths back to the third) over the extended 2m4f trip at Market Rasen before finding only Mr Hope Street too good over the same course and distance. Both those races worked out well – Double Powerful is four from four since, while Mr Hope Street followed up and the third/fourth from that race scored next time out at odds of 10-1 and 6-1 respectively. DEXPERADO hasn’t run since but Nick Kent’s five-year-old remains open to plenty of improvement and looks worth a bet in this conditional jockeys’ handicap hurdle. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price (11-4 at the time of writing).
Recommendation: Back DEXPERADO in Leicester 12.40
LEICESTER 3.40
MOONLIGHT GLORY is a big price for this 1m7.5f handicap hurdle after struggling home in ninth place at Kelso on her latest start but that track doesn’t suit Mark Walford’s nine-year-old (her record there now reads ninth of ten, 12th of 16 and ninth of 15) and today’s stiffer course will suit. She won three times at stiff Hexham/Newcastle last year and her sole visit to Leicester resulted in a 9-1 runner-up effort. The daughter of Fame And Glory hit form in the corresponding week last year, scoring at Newcastle on November 23rd having finished last of 11 at Carlisle on her previous start and she’s well handicapped having mostly contested races over 2m4f/2m5f this year, trips she struggles to stay. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price (28-1 at the time of writing with Spreadex).
Recommendation: Back MOONLIGHT GLORY in Leicester 3.40
Please note that the picks recommended in this blog post are based on past performance and should not be considered a guarantee for future winning outcomes, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
