Matt Sheppard’s FAMOSO has proved to be most progressive this term and he took his handicap chase record over 2m-2m1f to 2P1511 (3-6) when scoring at Hereford last time. The eight-year-old won on his sole previous visit to Ludlow and, like many Fame And Glory progeny, he seems to be getting better with age. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

KEMPTON 8.00

It’s possible that the Ivan Furtado-trained MAY REMAIN will be taken on for the early lead in this 6f handicap but that was the case at Wolverhampton last time when he still managed to place at odds of 11-1. He also hung to the right that day – not for the first time – and the return to right-handed Kempton could suit. He’s yet to win from three goes here but those produced two second places (both by a neck) and a third place from a poor wide draw. He’s well drawn tonight, and his trainer and jockey are in good form. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or back him each-way in the fixed odds betting.
