TYGER BAY, a seven-time all-weather winner on Polytrack, hasn’t had many opportunities on Tapeta but certainly copes with it. His sole run at Newcastle resulted in a 40-1 fifth of 12 in a Class 4 Racing League contest, his three runs on Southwell’s Tapeta saw him run with credit on each occasion (2nd of 8, 5th of 13 and 6th of 14), while his only Wolverhampton outing saw him go down by a little over two lengths in fifth place from a poor wide draw. Conrad Allen’s six-year-old caught the eye when a half-length third at Chelmsford last time, doing well to finish so close after coming very wide into the straight. That run took his record in today’s Class 5 grade, since the beginning of last year, to 2214033 (1-7) and he should be thereabouts once more. Buy in the Sporting Index 50-25-10 market.
